Three steps. One better-dressed post.
Type your opening line, choose a font, and copy it to X. A short phrase is all you need to try a different tone.
1
Write the line
Type a headline, a bio phrase, or the reply you already have in mind. Each style appears as you go.
2
Choose your emphasis
Find the version that gives your words the right tone, then click the Copy button on the right of that result to copy it.
3
Take it to X
Paste into a post, reply, bio, or display name. Read it in context before sharing so the emphasis lands where you intended.
Let the lettering do the emphasis
Give a launch a bold opening, a reply a dry aside, or your bio a quiet signature. Choose the style that fits your point.
Cursive and script
Writers and artists can give a display name or bio sign-off a handwritten feel with script. A small signature for a timeline full of quick takes. Use “notes on life” as a quiet bio signature when your posts center on writing, sketches, or observations from everyday life.
Make your words feel like you on X
Give brand announcements a consistent style
Give launch posts and recurring business updates a consistent heading style. A small visual cue can tie them together while your wording keeps the brand voice familiar.
Put your signature on the ideas you share
Writers, artists, and commentators can use a styled bio line or thread heading to set a tone. Pick a look that fits your work, whether that’s thoughtful notes or loud opinions.
Make the font part of the punchline
Sometimes the font is half the joke. Cross out the thought you almost posted, add an upside-down reply, or give your display name a seasonal identity crisis.
Keep the take easy to follow
Give a launch headline, thread opener, or short reply a little emphasis without making the whole post harder to read. Keep mentions, links, and hashtags in ordinary text, then check the complete draft for spacing, character count, and a tone that fits the conversation.
- 1
Emphasize the point
Pick the phrase that carries the update, such as “WE SHIPPED IT” for a launch or “A QUICK THREAD” for an introduction. Style those words and write the explanation in ordinary text below. Readers should be able to identify the main point and follow the details without extra effort.
- 2
Leave names and links alone
Keep @mentions, URLs, and hashtags exactly as you would normally type them. Add a styled heading above a product link or place a decorative reaction after a mention, leaving those elements separate. Review the draft to make sure you have not accidentally converted part of a handle or web address.
- 3
Check the full draft
Paste your styled phrase into the complete post, then check the character counter, line breaks, and any text around it. Watch for boxes, crowded accents, or a heading that overwhelms the message. If you need to shorten the draft, trim the decorative phrase before removing useful context.
- 4
Save the tricks for the right moment
Use upside-down text for a brief joke or strikethrough for a playful correction, such as crossing out “logging off.” For support replies, instructions, or serious updates, choose clear lettering and light emphasis. Read the reply with the original post to check that the visual joke suits the conversation.
